Transitions aren’t easy for most people – especially for students entering a new school. That’s why our schools have worked so hard to make transitions as smooth as possible from grade to grade, and school to school.
How well are we doing? Here are a few testimonials:
“The other students are really friendly and accepting.” – Student
“It’s a place where every student can have an identity.” – Teacher
“I think the atmosphere and the environment they are providing for the students is essential. It was key to our decision to enroll here.” – Parent
I think these endorsements demonstrate that Mounds View’s comprehensive approach to welcoming newcomers has a positive impact on our school community. Feedback like this is important because every year we enroll many new students in all of our schools and in all grade levels.
Enrollment nights
This month, Mounds View Public Schools will begin to welcome a variety of new students as the District hosts Enrollment Information Nights at every school. We hold these events for three primary audiences:
1. Next year’s kindergartner families and District students entering middle school or high school next year.
2. Non-public school students in any grade.
3. Non-resident students who are welcome to apply for a limited number of openings where space is available.
If you know families who may be interested in learning more about our schools, please encourage them to attend our Enrollment Information Nights on January 12, 13 and February 12. Please visit www.moundsviewschools.org for times, locations and other details.
Be assured that every year our principals, teachers, staff and students are ready to give all newcomers a warm Mounds View welcome.
