News

Both Divisions of the Mounds View, Irondale, Roseville RAMS (PI and CI) have qualified for the 2009 MSHSL Adapted Athletics Soccer Tournament to be played at Stillwater High School Friday and Saturday, November 20th and 21st.

The CI Division team finishes the regular season and playoff game with an 8-2-1 record and earned the #2 North seed and will play #3 South seed Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville on Friday, 11/20 @ 8:00 P.M. in Gym B. The CI Division team is coached by Head Coach Ian Porter and Asst. Coaches Laurie Koopmeiners and Don Taylor.

The PI Divison team finishes the regular season and plaffoff game with a 6-4-1 record and earned the #3 North seed and will play #2 South seed South Suburban on Friday, 11/20 @ 5:00 P.M. in Gym C. The PI Division team is coached by Head Coach Mike Churchill and Asst. Coach Diane Tolzman.

Interscholastic adapted athletics
Mounds View Public Schools participates in the Metro Adapted Athletics Association sanctioned by the Minnesota State High School League. Students who qualify compete in one of two divisions. The PI Division is for students with physical impairments and the CI Divsion is for students with cognitive impairments. The coed teams participate in Indoor Soccer (Fall), Floor Hockey (Winter) and Indoor Softball (Spring). The "RAMS" are comprised by Student Athletes grades 7-12 from Irondale, Mounds View and Roseville High Schools and their corresponding middle schools. The teams practice at Highview Middle School and home games will be played at Highview Middle School for Soccer and Floor Hockey, while Softball will be played at Irondale H.S. Lettering Criteria: Play in 1/3 of all varsity games, attend all practices unless excused by coach and demonstrate a positive "work ethic".
