IRONDALE KNIGHTLINE COACHING STAFF
Nikki Bergene: Varsity Coach
Nikki is currently a student at the University of St. Thomas. She will be
graduating next year with an undergraduate degree in Communications. She has
been dancing since she was 3 years old. She began her dance career at Metro
Dance studio. Later, Nikki went on to become a Mounds View Viewette where
she was a member for four years. Her senior year, she was captain. The
Viewettes placed top three in Jazz/Funk all four years Nikki was a team
member. In college Nikki was also a member of the St. Thomas Dance Team.
They won UDA nationals in 2006. Nikki is currently a Minnesota Vikings
Cheerleader, where she is part of the choreography committee and an active
member in her community. This is Nikki's second year coaching, and she is
proud to now be a part of the Irondale Knightline Dance Team. Her first year
coaching she won the MADT Rookie Coach of the Year award!

Jackie Berling: Assistant Varsity Coach
Jackie is currently finishing her senior year at the University of St. Thomas planning
to graduate with a Marketing and Business Communications degree, spring ’10. Jackie started
her dance training 11 years ago at St. Cloud School of Dance and Gymnastics where she studied
tap, jazz, lyrical, and ballet. She also danced at St. Cloud Tech High School competing on both
the Varsity High Kick and Jazz Funk teams. During her 4 years at THS, Jackie was voted Most improved,
Rookie of the Year, All Conference, and All State. As a junior and senior, she was a part of the
choreographer team. Jackie has continued her dance through onto the University of St. Thomas Dance
Team where she was a part of the 2008 Jazz National Champions. She was also awarded Most
Inspirational and the Tommie Award. Jackie started working with Advantage Dance summer of ’09.
This will be her first year coaching with Irondale High school.

Amy Jo Grimm: Junior Varsity Coach
Amy Jo Grimm danced with the Centennial Varsity dance team for four years where she competed in both
High Kick and Jazz/Funk and was named Most Improved and All-Conference.
She served as Captain her senior year. Centennial competed at State level in at least one category
each winter season. After high school, Amy Jo spent a season with the University of St. Thomas dance
team and a year later danced with and choreographed for Concordia University dance team. For the past
two years she was the Head Coach for Roseville Area High School Raiderettes and is now ecstatic to join
the Knightline coaching staff! Amy Jo is currently a student at Dunwoody, where she will graduate in the
spring of 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design.
