Technical difficulties disrupt District network

February 11, 2009 -- Mounds View Public Schools is experiencing the effects of a very new and powerful virus that has disabled most of the District's servers and work stations and has disrupted all of our schools' e-mail system. Our technology staff is working with our antivirus provider to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please be aware that: 
* Payments made to food service this week via PayPAMS will not be posted to student accounts until the server issue has been resolved. All students will be served school lunch as usual this week and food service accounts will be updated accordingly when the issue is resolved. 

* The parent portal, SchoolView, is still accessible to parents via the District's web site; however the system will not be up-to-date with this week's information.

We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing students, parents and staff. Until the problems are resolved, you are encouraged to contact staff members directly via phone. Directories are available at
www.moundsviewschools.org/directories.asp. Please be assured that the District's system remains secure. You will be notified via phone and e-mail when the problem is resolved.
