Q-Comp peer review report A report was given that summarized findings from the Minnesota Department of Education’s annual Q-Comp review. The District is meeting all state requirements for implementation of the pay-for-performance program and has been authorized to continue by the Minnesota Department of Education.
District operational plan The 2008-09 draft DOP - which was developed by the Superintendent and his Cabinet - was presented to the Board for initial discussion. The District Operation Plan (DOP) is the annual administrative work plan of the District. It is directly related to the District’s vision and to the School Board’s strategic directions for the year.
Superintendent’s compensation The School Board reviewed and discussed superintendent compensation in comparable metro-area school districts. With a goal of offering a competitive compensation package in the mid-market range, the Board approved increasing the superintendent’s base pay from $152,000 in 2007-08 to $157,000 in 2008-09. The Board also approved an increase in incentive compensation tied to performance and achievement. In 2007-08, the maximum possible was 8 percent of base salary, and in 2008-09 the maximum possible will be 10 percent.
