Work in Africa lands Highview teacher in NY City
December 16, 2008 -- Highview Middle School teacher Patty Hall and Mounds View Public Schools volunteer Val Johnson were recognized in December at the "Inspire Summit" hosted by CNN and L’Oreal in New York. Hall and Johnson were honored for their work with their not-for-profit organization, H2O for Life. The organization started with a clean water project at Highview Middle School and is now a nationally recognized organization that connects schools throughout the country with water projects all around the world.
