Chippewa Lego League competes at World Festival
April 20, 2009 -- Chippewa Middle School’s Lego League “Team Hydrogen Peroxide” was chosen as one of just 16 teams world-wide for their outstanding display of FIRST Lego League Core Values to compete at the FIRST Lego League World Festival in April 16-18. Chippewa students Pushkar Chaubal, Andrew Edwardson, Kobi Endrizzi, Graham Fiebiger, Jay Goebel, Taylor Gray and Jacob Lindmark attended the World Festival in Atlanta and competed with 83 other Lego League teams from around the world. The team took 13th place overall in robot performance with a personal best score of 345 out of a possible 400 points. The team was nominated for Creative Presentation, Programming and Quality Design. They won the third place trophy for Quality Design of their robot. Team Robo Rexasaurus from New York City was impressed with the team’s robot and asked Chippewa’s team to help mentor them next year.
