Mounds View student named MASC president

April 8, 2009 -- Kristen Emmons, a junior at Mounds View High School, was elected president of the Minnesota Association of Student Councils (MASC) for the 2009-2010 school year. Emmons was named MASC president at the organization's annual convention at Austin High School on March 28-30. Alex Hoffman, a senior at Mounds View and the co-president of school's student council, received one of two "Officer of the Year" awards in the state at the annual convention, and the Mounds View High School Student Council was recognized as one of the five "Outstanding Student Councils" in the state.
