Mounds View students win Gold Award

May 22, 2009 -- Mounds View High School students Danielle Bender, Allison Jones, Katherine Koch, Katelyn Steffens and Sabrina Zappa are being honored with the Girl Scouts Gold Award for their organizational, leadership and networking skills and their efforts to fulfill a need in the community. The Gold Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout may earn. These students worked with Camp Heartland to help children who are affected by HIV/AIDS and dedicated their time to educating the community on related issues.
